This year we were lucky enough to host our 11th annual Dia de los Muertos event at our recently renovated EC Hispanic Media headquarters in Norwalk, California.
Google, NFL.com and Grindr were a few of the many awesome brands who came out to support such a vivid Hispanic celebration with us.
The fiesta began at 4pm sharp with AlBorde.com’s Hackaton! We brought together LA’s best and brightest entrepreneurs and coders to build an app from the ground up.
During the 4-hour hackathon, these tech enthusiasts worked together to introduce a game-changing concept for one of EC Hispanic Media’s brands. The ultimate hacker champion was Ramon Martinez who was awarded with $300 up on stage.
Delicious empanadas, appetizers, drinks plus a dope digital graffiti wall where our guests performed their best artistic abilities played a huge part of the festivity!
Our VIP guests received drop-dead goodie bags with exclusive items from our sponsors, including terrific Google cardboard glasses!
And speaking of artistic abilities, we were honored with the presence of local artists Franky Castle, German Reyes from “El Catrin Arte”, Alexei5000, Daniel Rouse and Adriana Zamora from MoonChildsArt who proudly showcased their best Dia de Muertos inspired-pieces.
Live entertainment provided by Sin Color, a talented emerging South LA band composed by Crissian Regalado and David Aquino.
