Get the palates of your feet ready for some Sabrosura ! To end the year with a bang, Red Bull Music Academy Panamerika is bringing full dance party and a night to remember at the historic and beautifully renovated Regent Theatre in Downtown LA on Wednesday, December 10th, 2014.
The 18 and over crowd is welcome to this free event that will bring to its stage five of the current and hottest dance acts; Nortec Collective presents Bostich + Fussible, El Conjunto Nueva Ola, Jungle Fire, Maria y Jose, and Subsuelo.
From Tijuana comes Nortec Collective presents Bostich + Fussible. The sexy duo brings their electro-norteño sound that defines the border along with their parade of trumpets, trombones, accordions, and tuba.
The irreverent gentlemen of El Conjunto Nueva Ola, straight out of Los Angeles, bring their mysterious “luchador” masked faces for an impregnating modern cumbia sound that will make your feet and hips move in all directions.
Los Angeles based, Jungle Fire, will set the stage on fire with their explosive fusion of afro/latin funk music that is inspired by break beats and even 70’s funk.
Tearing the borders down, from Mexico, come Maria y Jose blowing up their “ruidoson,” mixing all the genres of electronic with dance.
And the night would not be complete with the raw sounds of Boyle Height’s very own Subsuelo, who will not give the crowd a chance to rest with their global bass party of electro-cumbia, hip-hop, and tropical funk.
