
Latin Grammy winners La Vida Boheme’s recent ‘rooftop concert’ appearance in a McDonald’s commercial has won the Billboard Latin Music Marketing Awards 2014 for best use of music in a TV campaign.
La Vida Boheme recently won their first career Latin Grammy for “Será”, which was awarded “Best Rock Album” after the band was also nominated for a Grammy and two Latin Grammy’s for their debut record Nuestra.
La Vida Boheme will perform at the upcoming Pachanga Fest in Austin TX, after recently rocking VIVE Latino in Mexico City, where the band is now based after moving from Venezuela.
NPR Music chose La Vida Boheme’s Latin Grammy-winning sophomore album Será as one of their “50 Favorite Albums of 2013”. NPR Music had previously also celebrated La Vida Boheme’s debut album Nuestra in their “50 Favorite Albums of 2011”.
Esquire Magazine: “When I saw La Vida Boheme at SXSW, I flashed to seeing The Clash in 1979. It was the fierceness, the original sound, the hodgepodge of styles — it was the clash of cultures and sound.”
The band’s new music video “La Vida Mejor” debuted exclusively at NPR Music’s All Songs Considered, after La Vida Boheme was interviewed at the show earlier this year.
La Vida Boheme won the MTV Game Award for “Best Song in a Video Game” for their track “Buen Salvaje” from EA Sports’ smash hit ‘FIFA’ soccer video game.
Chosen by iTunes as the ‘Latino Breakthrough Artist of 2011,’ La Vida Boheme’s debut U.S. performance at the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) earned the band a photo and feature on the front page of the Arts section of the NY Times. Sponsorships with Zippo lighters and Casio watches have continued to expose the young group to new audiences.
