Panteón Rococó, an emblematic Latin ska band and a global representative of Mexico’s rock movement, will celebrate 20 years of musical history with an International Tour and a special concert that will feature special musical guests at the Arena Mexico this coming July 4th in Mexico City.

Over the past 20 years, Panteón Rococó has worked on 7 musical productions. The first one in 1999 with the album entitled A la Izquierda de la Tierra; in 2002 came their second release called Compañeros Musicales, which earned them a Gold Record and got them nominated as best new band. In 2004, the band  released their third production called Tres Veces Tres featuring the collaboration of Vicentico; 2005 was their 10th anniversary which they celebrated with a CD + DVD entitled Diez Años un Panteón Muy Vivo; 2007 was the year they released Panteón Rococó, which brought us singles such as “Vendedora de Caricias”, “Estrella Roja” and “Acábame de Matar”. In 2009, they presented their record called Ejército de Paz, which resulted in a single, “Arréglame el Alma, which reached 3rd place in the Mexican charts, keeping that position for four months at 40 Principales, and in 2012 they released Ni Carne ni Pescado.

The group is currently promoting their single “Viernes de Webeo” which has kept the band on the musical forefront, working in Mexico and abroad, with performances all over Mexico.

Throughout these 20 years, Panteón Rococó has performed on a variety of stages and always leaving their mark. Among the most important ones was their performance at Mexico City’s “Zócalo” together with Manu Chao, followed by their sold-out concert at Palacio de los Deportes after their 15th anniversary. They hold the record in terms of shows, having had 11 participations at the different Vive Latino festivals as well as their successful performance at  Teatro Metropólitan; and let’s not forget all those local and international festivals where Panteón has participated: Cervantino, Música para los Dioses, Pal Norte, Hurricane, SouthSide, Aréa 4, Neon Desert, Wacken, Jamming ,  Woodstock to mention just a few. 

Panteón Rococó has shared the stage with internationally renowned artists such as: R.E.M., Seed, Marilyn Manson, Pixies, Manu Chao, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sex Pistols, Rage Against the Machine, Chemical Brothers, The Hives, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Fabulosos Cadillacs, among many others.

Panteón Rococó is undoubtedly one of the most important groups of the last 20 years, not only in Mexico but also internationally. They have had over 900 shows in the United States, and 18 European tours, with 54 shows in Germany alone, totaling over 600 concerts on the old continent.

This is why Panteón Rococó is organizing a tour in Europe and Latin America along with a great party to celebrate this 20th Anniversary, which will take place on July 4th at Arena Mexico in Mexico City, featuring special guests that will soon be announced.
