Belanova at House of Blues Anaheim

Electronic synth pop trio Belanova performed at the House of Blues in Anaheim on Oct. 20.

The crowd was ecstatic and pleased to see the band reunite to perform their favorite tracks from all five of their past albums.

Belanova immediately created a sense of euphoria in the packed venue as vocalist Denisse Guerrero started the night full of memorable hits with what might be their most recognized tune, “Rosa Pastel.”

She continued the night with songs from the beginning of their journey as a band, which started in 2000. Belanova did not leave out tunes from their 2003 album Cocktail. Guerrero reminisced their first album as she sang “Aun Asi Te Vas,” and “Tus Ojos.” She did not fail to mention how appreciative she is to the fans that have been supporting the band for the full ride – 14 years.

From their sophomore album Dulce Beat, the group also performed “Por Ti” and “Me Pregunto.” They ended their set with “Niño.” Other hits that were performed were “Cada Que,” “Baila Mi Corazon,” “Toma Mi Mano,” and “One, Two, Three, GO!”

The highlight of the night was when the trio created an intimate atmosphere by sitting in the front middle of the stage. The lights dimmed and the band played a few songs acoustically. During this part of the show, Belanova showed just how good their vocalist is by covering “Cucurrucucu Paloma,” a song that was made popular by Lola Beltran.
