Mexican rockers Fobia and Chile’s Los Bunkers will accompany Zoé on the road with tour dates that kick off in southern California.
The amazing combination of bands will be playing the Grove of Anaheim on October 19, the 4th and B in San Diego on October 20, and at the Observatory in Santa Ana on October 21. The rest of the tour dates will take them to San Francisco, Chicago, El Paso and New York.
The last year has been the busiest for rockers Zoé, who released their highly successful “MTV Unplugged: Música de Fondo” in 2011 and have since been performing throughout Mexico, Latin America, Spain and the U.S. One of the most memorable dates of their past dates was, of course, at Mexico’s Vive Latino where the band gave an extensive performance that included a guest appearance from Lo Blondo (Denise Gutiérrez) from Hello Seahorse! on the song “Luna” and a historic performance with Enrique Bunbury on the song “Nada”.
The special edition release of the album included a remake of the classic bolero, “Besame Mucho”, in which Lo Blondo guest appeared as well.
Fobia’s return to the U.S. comes courtesy of a new album: Destruye Hogares, which was released earlier this summer. The band is now a two-man band with only singer Leonardo de Lozzane and guitarrist Paco Huidobro. Former drummer Jay De La Cueva and bassist Javier Chá Ramirez have left the band in order to pursue Moderatto, their other musical project, and keyboardist Iñaki Vazquez is currently producing other artists.
Nonetheless Destruye Hogares has the classic Fobia sound with driving beats and crashing guitars, which have been heard on their previous studio albums. In their recent live presentations in Mexico, Leonardo and Paco were supported on stage by an all star band featuring ex La Ley drummer Mauricio Claveria, La Barranca bassist Federico Fong, and keyboardist Dario González Valderrama.
The tour will bring Los Bunkers back to the U.S after their presentation at Coachella earlier this year. The band is currently promoting Musica Libre.
