#ThrowbackThursday - Al Borde Style

We’re taking a cue from social media’s weekly habit of reminiscing on the “good old days” and digging into our own vault to rediscover some of our personal favorite moments of all times.

This week, we’re going back to 2007 when indie rock band Enjambre headlined one of Al Borde’s “Acoustic Sessions”. The event took place at the Al Borde lounge where close to 200 fans from across Southern California gathered to support the melodic indie rock group.
At the event, the band performed their popular 60’s nostalgia rock including tracks from their Mujer en la caja release, which at the time they had just finished promoting in Mexico. That tour would prove incredibly successful for the band that soon after Enjambre would bid farewell to their Orange County home and head to Mexico in hopes of furthering their music career.
Currently, Luis Humberto Navejas, Julian Navejas, Rafael Navejas, Angel Sanchez, and Javier Mejia are taking Mexico by storm; and although Mexican fans have adopted them as their own, they’ll always be Cali boys in our eyes.
One of our favorite songs performed during their Al Borde “Acoustic Sessions” set was “Mujer en la caja”. Play the video to 1:47 and you’ll see why.
