The Vive Latino 2013 (VL 13) lineup has been announced. Taking place throughout four days from March 14-17, 2013, Mexico’s largest rock music festival will once gather the most notable bands of the moment at the Foro Sol auditorium in Mexico City.
This year’s festival hype comes due to the addition of Porter, the experimental rock group that in 2007 captivated a magnitude of fans on both sides of the U.S. and Mexico border, and that in 2007 headlined Al Borde’s Rock N’ Bliss concert serving as the band’s first performance outside of the U.S.
“Vaquero galáctico”, “Xoloitzcuintle chicloso” and “Host of a Ghost” from Porter’s Atemahawke debut album, followed the band’s experimental rock and unique vocals from their 2005 EP Donde los ponys pastan.
The band’s short run ended with a performance at the 2008 Coachella festival. There after, Juan Son “Mussgo” (lead vocalist) ventured on a solo career in which he performed under the pseudonym Juan Son. Although all of the original band members are expected to take part of the VL13 festival, it has not been confirmed whether or not they will pick up where they left off.
Porter will be one of the more than 100 bands performing at Vive Latino 2013.
Presale tickets will be available on December 6th and 7th with general admission sales open on the 8th.
