Ximena Sariñana y Ceci Bastida se encuentran en el ecléctico menú que forma parte del Lilith Fair, el concierto femenino itinerante creado por Sarah McLachlan, que nuevamente recorrerá Estados Unidos en 2010.
Lilith Fair, the nomadic concert festival that in its three-year run gathered the music industry’s top female acts such as event co-founder Sarah McLachlan, Tracy Chapman, Jewel, Paula Cole, Lisa Loeb, Fiona Apple, Meredith Brooks, Erykah Badu, Sinéad O’Connor, Natalie Merchant, Bonnie Raitt and Liz Phair has woken from its 10-year slumber with one massive appetite and hovering various musical genres.
For Latin Alternative music seekers in particular, the summer festival will be a can’t-miss concert since it will for the first time in the history of the festival, include the performances of popular artists within Latin music. Tijuana born Ceci Bastida –who is currently on tour with paisana Julieta Venegas– is amongst those confirmed in the lineup, and will be representing the Latin alternative indie community along with fellow songstress Ximena Sariñana.

The music festival organizers, who have opted to include mostly indie, English-sung performances since the first Lilith Fair in 1997, recently made another surprising announcement by adding Regional Mexican singer/songwriter, Jenni Rivera, to the bill. The Long Beach, California bred recording artist popular for her “no-macho-nonsense” lyrics and love/hate relationship with the Mexican media, will be making history with her participation in the event by being the first Regional Mexican artist to take the Lilith Fair stage.
Also freshmen to the event is pop sensation Selena Gomez whom will also take part in the tour making her amongst, if not the, youngest performers on stage. Along with Gomez, fellow American singers Ke$ha and Kelly Clarkson will also be adding the pop element to the Fair while Cat Power, Corrine Bailey Rae and Tegan and Sarah will be adding to the indie-vibe for which the festival is known for.
