The tributes continue, as they should, for the great Chavela Vargas who died earlier this year due to respiratory complications. This time, it’s the LA Phil at Walt Disney Hall that will pay its respects to the Mexican ranchera singer.
Through “La Llorona The Rebel Spirit of Chavela Vargas”, fans will have the opportunity to hear Chavelas’ songs once again as performed by a new generation of powerful vocalists: Ely Guerra, Eugenia León, and Tania Libertad.
The concert will take place on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 and tickets are available now with prices starting at $47.50.
