El Sonido Callejero and Sonsoles

The day after Thanksgiving at The Joint on West Pico Blvd, El Sonido Callejero and Sonsoles are teaming up with A & M Entertainment to throw a benefit concert for A Place Called Home (APCH), a nonprofit youth center in South Central L.A.

APCH describes their program as a place to provide at-risk youth with a secure, positive family environment where they can regain hope, earn trust and learn skills that will lead them to a productive lifestyle free of the gangs, drugs and poverty that surround them.

Besides being known for being one of the most exciting and energetic bands in L.A., El Sonido Callejero is also known for their socially conscious lyrics and their participation in other benefit events, so it’s no surprise that the rock band would join the efforts of supporting a nonprofit youth center.
Sonsoles, on the other hand, is one of the hottest rising local bands of the moment with a fast growing fan base. The band has been involved in several major musical concerts such as El Reventón concert, the TriTone festival and opening for the likes of Jarabe De Palo.

So before you spend all your money on Black Friday, save a few bucks and support the A Place Called Home (APCH) fundraiser. The event welcomes a 21+ crowd. Pre sale tickets are up for $7 and an “at the door” ticket will cost you $10. Not bad for a great show, and an even greater cause.
