No soul, young or old, dead or living, was left unrattled by the live performance of the luchador mask bearing El Conjunto Nueva Ola (ECNO).

The 2011 Day of the Dead Music and Art Festival presented by AlBorde.com and Ford Southern California Dealerships was a huge success in great part due to this energetic motley crew that embraces the fusion of traditional Latin rhythms with the beats of electronica and riffs of rock and roll.

The self proclaimed “héroes del ritmo” delighted fans with their culture clashing music which included their popular “De que chon” and “Cumbia Town” songs. Check out the video of the band filmed just seconds before they took the stage, where they talk about their style of music and about not toning down their live show for this or any other “family event”.

Stay tuned for more video coverage on ECNO’s Day of the Dead performance, and check out the photo gallery of the event here.
