Deborah De Corral first became known for her striking beauty and role as a television host. When she caught the music-making bug, she poured all her pop-rock intuition into her debut album, Nunca o Una Eternidad, which has now earned the Argentine singer/song writer a 2012 Latin Grammy nomination in the Best New Artist Category.

Although it’s not unusual for “outsiders” to try their luck in the music industry, their chance of success is most always hindered by the fact that they are not studied musicians. Not to mention their lack of musical talent. But that is not the case with Deborah. She has the voice to captivate an audience, the innate ability to create good music, and knows her way around the guitar, ukulele and keyboards, all of which helped her be an active participant in the production and arrangement of Nunca o Una Eternidad.

The album was produced by Christine Heyne and Juan Campodonico, whom is also nominated for a 2012 Latin Grammy, his, however, is in the “Best Alternative Song” category with his side project Campo.

Recorded between November 2010 and February 2011 in Uruguay, Chile, Argentina and Miami, the album is made up by 10 original compositions written by Deborah, with collaborations with other artists and producers such as Gonzalo Aloras, Luciano Supervielle, Roberto Musso, Koko Stambuk and Lucas Martí, amongst others.

“Algo” is the album’s first single and was co-written by Roberto Musso, lead singer for Uruguay’s El Cuarteto de Nos. The single debuted on the top of charts in Argentina and Chile, and remained there for several consecutive weeks.

Since Deborah’s album debut, the artist has shared the stage with Lenny Kravitz, Katy Perry and Maroon 5. She also accepted an invitation to participate on Beto Cuevas’ new album, Transformación, where she lent her vocals for “Aterrice”.
