Salvador y Los Eones

Salvador Moreno, lead singer of the iconic Mexican rock band La Castañeda, visited Los Angeles last week with his side project, Salvador Y Los Eones. He had a meet-and-greet with fans and the local press and played in an intimate show featuring songs from the new album Bolero Gotico.

For those of you that are not familiar with Salvador Y Los Eones, the band has transformed the classic Mexican boleros and rancheras into a Goth Metal style. It might sound a little unconventional, but it actually makes sense and somehow their music still preserves the essence of the original songs. Some of their new versions are “Cenizas”, “Amor Gitano”, “La Copa Rota”, “El Jinete”, among others.

The Mexican rock band showed its unique music style at the Epoca Hall in Bell California on March 13, 2015. Their fans were incredibly supportive as we could see their sense of style, dressed in their gothic gear while listening to the opening bands Amargo and Elixir.

The audience’s energy increased as Los Eones took the stage, and even more so when listening to the opening notes of “Sombras,” but the band really went into overdrive and the crowd went crazy when Salvador hit the stage.

With his usual theatrical style, Salvador engaged the crowd leading the band through classics like “Cenizas”, “Preso No. 9”, 4 Cirios”, “Cruz De Olvido” and others.

Salvador is definitely one of the most exciting lead singers in all of rock & roll. He definitely made his fans enjoy to the max in such an intimate setting.
