Few bands in Latin America have the longevity and have as big a following as Los Autenticos Decadentes(LAD).

Formed in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1986, its twelve members have been touring around the world spreading their happy and fun music fused with the sounds of murga, ska, reggae and even ballads, but always with a touch of rock & roll. Under the leadership of Gustavo Cucho Parisi, who shares frontman duties with  Jorge Serrano and Diego De Marco, LAD have recorded 9 studio albums, 2 DVDs and two live albums with multimillion sales all over the world.

LAD’s first album was released in 1989 under the name of de El Milagro Argentino, which included tracks that are now band classics like “Loco (Tu Forma de Ser)”, “Vení Raquel” o “Entregá el Marrón”. Followed by the albums Supersónico (1991); Fiesta Monstruo (1993); Mi Vida Loca (1995); Cualquiera Puede Cantar (1997); Hoy Trasnoche (2000); Sigue Tu Camino (2003); Club Atlético Decadente (2006) and  Irrompibles (2010).  Besides the studio albums, there were the compilations. Los Reyes de la Canción (2001) y 12 Vivos (2004) plus 2 DVDs, Somos in 2008 and Hecho en Mexico in 2012, which marked the 25th anniversary of the band and it included live collaborations with special guests like Julieta Venegas, Rubén Albarrán & Quique Rangel (Café Tacvba), Adrián Dargelos (Babasónicos), Fernando Ruiz Díaz (Catupecu Machu) and Martín Mono Fabio (Kapanga).

After firmly establishing themselves in South America, LAD went on to become one of the most recognizable bands through all of Latin America. LAD have sold out concerts at some of the most important cities and venues in Latin America like the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, the Caupolicán Theater in Santiago, Chile or the Luna Park stadium in Buenos Aires. LAD has also participated in some of the most important festivals in the American continent like Vive Latino in Mexico, Rock Al Parque in Colombia and Quilmes Rock in Argentina. In 2013, LAD played the Viña del Mar Festival for the second time and went home with Golden and Silver Seagulls.

The songs of Los Autenticos Decadentes have transcended generations of fans and they have become so popular that many soccer fans have taken them as anthems when rooting for their teams in various Latin American countries and including Japan.

Los Autenticos Decadentes ‘ latest hit, “No Me Importa El Dinero”, which includes the collaboration of Julieta Venegas, has more than 16 millions views on Youtube.

In an interview we had with guitarist and singer Jorge Serrano last year, we asked how a band can stay relevant after 27 years and he replied: “I think that the music and the fans is what keeps us together and we love the music and we love playing live, so even when there are those days when we don’t feel 100% physically or mentally, once we are up on that stage and we feel the energy from the crowd, there’s no better medicine.”

Los Autenticos Decadentes are currently working of their 10th studio album and it is scheduled to be released in the second semester of 2014, along with a documentary filmed during the tours, rehearsals and recordings of this new album including a history of the band from its very beginnings
