After their first successful tour of the U.S. last year, Enjambre is back in the U.S. for another tour through several of the most important cities in the U.S. and on March 20th, they will be playing The Conga Room along with Radio Elei, Maria Del Pilar and Edith Crash.
Enjambre first burst onto the L.A. and O.C. music scenes with their first album, Consuelo En Domingo, in 2005.
Although they had a strong following in southern CA, in order to make a bigger impact, the band knew they had look elsewhere as the support for Spanish rock in the U.S. is not always constant and with the release of their second album, El Segundo Es Felino, in 2008, the band moved to Mexico City. After playing all over the city and with the support of independent radio stations, social media and word of mouth, the band began to get noticed by major record company executives.
In 2010, the band was signed by EMI and their third album, Daltónico, was released and the band exploded all over Mexico as the massive media began to pay attention and the band began to tour the entire country.
With the release of their 4th and latest album, Huéspedes Del Orbe, Enjambre became one of the hottest tickets in Mexico as they played to massive audiences including El Palacio De Los Deportes where they sold over 20 thousand tickets.
Although Enjambre had played several dates in the U.S. after their tactical move to Mexico, the band had not done a formal tour until last year. In an interview we had with the band last October, lead singer Luis Navejas stated that they intended to have a stronger presence in the U.S. and true to their word, the band will be back for a short tour where they will play some of the most important cities in the U.S. beginning March 15th through March 22nd, with a stop the Conga Room in down town L.A. on Thursday March 20th.
