After spending two years working hard in the studio, Miranda! are finally ready to release their latest project “Es Imposible”. Ever since they ventured into the music business, this Argentinean band ha puesto bien claro que lo de ellos es el electro pop melodramático… a style set since the beginning that just kept getting stronger and more defined with every CD. On “Es Imposible” they keep some of their distinctive sound but switch things out a bit by exploring different sides of the electro pop spectrum. Unlike previous albums with a couple similar-sounding songs… en “Es Imposible” absolutamente todas las canciones suenan diferentes.
On some jams they go for a more acoustic sound, in other songs they venture into lite hip-hop territory, funky reggae, and even rock/ pop… all without letting go of their goofy poppy side while still managing to deliver a fresh and edgier sound than your usual Miranda! rolas.
Much of Miranda’s “new” and improved sound comes thanks to the fact that they used an actual live drum set while recording “Es Imposible”, a first for the band.
For their latest shenanigans, Miranda! decided to once again enlist the help of producer Cachorro López, who penned and produced five of the ten tracks. Additional production for “Es Imposible” estuvo a cargo de Ale Sergi, Gabriel Lucena y Capri.
Miranda! muestra que no “es imposible” come up with some interesting yet comercial, and fun music without selling out and falling into the vicious circle that is repeating the same old formula. Could it be that Miranda! has come to rescue Latin pop and electro pop from oblivion? It sure looks like it!
En “Es Imposible” encontrarás pop divertido mas no descerebrado. Definitely a must.
