Aunque por estos rumbos realmente no ha sonado nada de Coti desde el 2005 when he released the hit single “Nada Fue Un Error” featuring Paulina Rubio and Julieta Venegas, the guy has kept himself busy producing tracks left and right for his peeps and up and coming artists. While Coti Sorokin is a rather popular singer/ songwriter/ producer in his home country, the Argentinean versatile artiste is mostly known for his behind the scenes work.
“Malditas Canciones”, his fifth album no solamente sirve como carta de presentación on this side of the world, it also aims to aid in the crossover from relatively anonymous songwriter to mainstream poptart. Coti y sus “Malditas Canciones” prove once again, que no todo lo que es pop es malo.

Roberto Fidel Ernesto Sorokin has a very particualar style that fuses rock, pop, and Latin music elements, all engulfed in lyrics that are sugary enough to be sweet and catchy without being over-the-top cheesy and touching enough como para arrancarte un suspiro without being mopey or annoying.
Unlike his previous albums, for “Malditas Canciones”, Coti took it easy on the guest artists to be featured on the album, enlisting only the help of Pereza y Sidoni for the track “Jugando Con Vos”.
Overall, “Malditas Canciones” is a decent but rather short album filled with some unexpected rockin’ songs, catchy hooks, and head boppin’/ foot tappin’ jams.
Coti Sorokin proves he’s more than a backstage John DOe and confidently takes the center stage with a smart and ingenious rock/pop record for the masses.
