FATIMAIf there’s one band in the entire L.A. local music scene that can rock the stage hard enough to bust speakers and break stages, it’s definitely Punk-Rockers FATIMA. This Angeleno quartet is lead by Cesar Villa’s insane vocals, supported by Ever’s sick guitar riffs, Rudy’s electrifying bass knicks and Victor’s heart thumping drum kicks. It was with their 2008 release of Escúchame that FATIMA came to be noticed with a hit-packed album that showcased the band’s raw talent and dynamic rocker energy. “Escúchame”, “Con Tus Palabras” and “Tú Lo Soñaste” were some of the album’s more popular songs amongst the FATIMA fan base, which to date pans across the United States and Latin America. Playing local venues in their home turf such as the House of Blues, Key Club, Knitting Factory and The Roxy prepared the band for shows in which they would later share the stage with pioneering band Pastilla, MTV Latin American award winners Allison and L.A. rockers Monte Negro. The band is currently promoting Escúchame on their US and Mexico “A Story to Tell Tour”, which will lead the band right into the forthcoming calendar year.

The rockers have been jamming out venues since their 2007 South by Southwest performance and were recently titled MTV Tr3s’ Latin Battle of the Bands “Fan Favorito” by more than 10,000 viral votes. Fatima has also participated in the “Indie Rocks L.A.” compilation album that was produced solely to promote Angelino talent to the music media and has performed at Al Borde’s Acoustic Sessions opening up the show for indie favorites, Curanderos.
