Sports athletic brand, Nike, threw a house warming to celebrate its newly established front in downtown L.A.Live. Honoring the iconic athlete, Lakers’ shooting guard, Kobe Bryant, and enlisting the best of Nike’s creative team, a quaint space shouldering the Staples Center debuted the new Nike retail space, the Nike Vault.
Equipped with Nike customization, a Kobe wall where fans can send virtual messages to the Black Mamba himself, and the latest releases of Nike collections like the fall basketball line, Nike hopes to make the Vault part of the cultural hub that is L.A. Live.
The Nike Vault housewarming, was MCeed by DJ Skee, who also kept the mood going with his noted spinning flare. Nike also enlisted the talent of artist, Ian Wright, who created a one of a kind installation that mirrored the Kobe theme of the evening. Wright spoke to us about the precision required for the installation and about his attempt at portraying Kobe Bryant in art form. Take a look at his art creation here.
