The Arthur Milling brand has a way to sophisticate your simple every day wearing: from bracelets to jeans… they will have you covered!
Admittedly, I was introduced to the Arthur Milling brand by one of the contributor’s music background… and was pleasantly surprised by their choice of clothing. As I looked more and more into their social media, one thing was for sure: I had to interview this contributor. Yes, Panda fans, Al Borde had the pleasure to have questions answered by guitarist and now one of Arthur Milling’s creative directors Arturo Arredondo.
So what do we know about the brand? For starters, we know they are known for their choice of unisex red denim. Red: the color that represents blood, anger, love, passion… and now Arthur Milling. If you continue to dig in the brand and visit their social media pages, you will then notice the continuous color scheme that pops out: the color choice of red and gold. What else do we know? We know that the makers pay attention to detail and present their clothing brand as artistic and creative as they name their items… for example: “Golden Tease” which is a collection of 10 golden accessories – earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings. Oh, you fancy Arthur Milling.

Here are the questions that were answered by one of the brand’s lead contributors: Arturo Arredondo.
Q: How did the project come up? What made you start the project of Arthur Milling?
A: It primarily came about an idea for men’s clothing since the market is primarily based on women’s brands. I wanted to do something meaningful as a side project apart from the band. When we first came about manufacturing the “Red Denim”, we thought it best for them to be unisex since it’s a small niche and we had just started the brand.
Q: What is the goal for Arthur Milling?
A: Our goal is to design certain key pieces you would find in a wardrobe. Key pieces that are although simple, but very effective and meaningful, and can be combined with any other thing in your closet.
Q: What are your inspirations and future plans for the brand?
A: Some time in the near future we’re manufacturing the products ourselves. We primarily want to focus on quality and building an identity.
Q: How are you promoting the brand as of right now?
A: Mostly by Facebook. We have our online store there.
Q: How different in style is it from the band? Do you find a certain connection between the band’s themes or is it completely a side project?
A: It’s a complete side project and intended for anyone, but Panda’s fans can’t help but relate to it…and that’s completely fine by us!
Q: How do you balance the clothing creativity process with your music recording/touring?
A: We have a very small team and I’m partly into it because of the music side. Nevertheless we always have time for meetings and such. It is very fun.
Q: Do you design the themes and clothing styles or do you have a team that works with you?
A: We do everything ourselves, from designing to the online store administration.
Q: What is your creative process?
A: First lots of talking and many meetings, then we go step by step into manufacturing (the slowest process of all), then into the brand’s image meaning getting the planned photo shoots done which is one of the most fun parts, and then we just go into administrating sales online.
