2015 is the year when undocumented immigrants in California will be granted drivers licenses through the AB 60 Law!

Starting today, January 5th, 2015 and thanks to the new implemented AB60 Bill, the DMV begins to expedite driving licenses to undocumented people 16 years and older if they meet the requirements and as long as they pass both written and driving tests.

Those who have yet to set up their appointment at the nearest DMV location are more than welcome to do so HERE.

On the day of your appointment applicants will be asked to provide proof of California residency in addition to submitting a legal document stating that they’re unable to obtain social security number and cannot prove that they’re legally allowed to live in the United States. Neither of these documents will be given nor used by law enforcement agencies to investigate, arrest or detain the applicants.

Documents to take with you:

– Passport

– Consultar Identification

– Electril/Cable bill

– Prior taxes
