The Basics: Even though “Trader Vic’s Lounge” has been around for quite some time now, it wasn’t until it got a hipster make-over and a new location in Beverly Hills right by the Beverly Hilton Hotel. If you weren’t familiar with this lounge prior to it’s new persona, it remains still the same in essence- still chill, with tiki touches here and there and a modern tropical theme throughout. The décor is Polynesian and Tahitian inspired. To get the full “Trader Vic’s” experience it’s better if you chill in their patio, especially during the week nights, which is when the DJ spins under the stars as surf movies project on the walls.
Because of its location, “Trader Vic’s Lounge” attracts a wide variety of clientele, from hipters and youngsters to more mature hotel guests. Regardless of the sometimes awkward crowd, the ambiance and the drink are worth the uneasiness. Heads up on their tropical drinks and their scorpion bowls
