The Basics: Los Angeles nightclubs are rather dull compared to those in Europe and the rest of the world.  A nightclub on this side of the world is usually a warehouse with a dance floor and tons of lights to mask the true nature of the venue.  Nightclubs are just not original.   The O.C. found a cure to this dreadful manner by opening the “Shark Club”, which has a 2,000 gallon shark tank as a centerpiece. It’s quite impressing and unexpected to see such thing at a club- especially since it could turn into a hazard if overtly drunk folks come near it, nonetheless, the shark tank, along with the fact that it has two dance floors and a loungey area with pool tables make the “Shark Club” a cool place to party.

On the main dance floor you have the usual Top40/ hip-hop extravaganza while on the other one the DJs usually spin dance, electro and trance.

Another great thing about the “Shark Club” is that people usually go there to truly enjoy themselves and have a good time- no pretentiousness or snobbery.  Plus, cover charge and drinks are reasonably priced- you will definitely not be paying twenty bucks to go in or $15 on a martini.
