The Basics: While “O-Bar” is a very distinct lounge/ restaurant, there is not one thing in particular that sets it apart from the bunch but variety.  It pretty much follows the standard to most lounges in the area- ahora si que it’s what you would expect from a WeHo joint and then some more. “O-Bar” is one of those places that serve equally as a lounge and as a restaurant; however, its main forte comes with the lounge.  It’s a pretty chill place, with dim lighting and a simple yet chic décor that can be even more appreciated from the patio which has a fireplace in the middle and a couple of curtained booths. “O-Bar” is very L.A. and of course taking in consideration its location, it’s also very gay friendly- it’s not an exclusively gay or straight lounge… it has a pretty mixed crowd.

The parking is always an issue, so get ready to spend a couple of minutes finding a spot, or simply dish out eight bucks for valet parking.

The trendy décor and background music will help in getting you ready for a night of clubbing sans all they play is remixes of Top 40 jams, and loads of house and trance… if you want a quiet, romantic dinner you might not be too fond of “O-Bar” since music tends to be on the louder side.

What to drink: Drinks at “O-Bar” are a bit on the pricey side; however, if you go during happy hour (from 4pm-8pm) all drinks- absolutely ALL drinks are ½ off, so that’s a great deal you hardly ever hear about.  Their mango mojito is a must; now, if you don’t want a fruity girly drink yet you want to try something different, go for the cucumber martini- refreshing and oh so strong.

What to eat
: While the food at “O-Bar” is good, it’s priced almost at a fine dining cost, which is extremely hard on the wallet… so if you’re on a budget, don’t even trip and just crash the place for drinks.

The food at this joint is pretty much American fusion style, por lo que encontrarás de todo un poco.
If you just want an appetizer, don’t, under any circumstances, order their tempura battered calamari- not only does it have no flavor, but it has a rubbery taste and texture to it that it might give you lockjaw.

Instead go for the BBQ pork sliders- they’re simply deelish. Te dejarán literalmente chupándote los dedos. Lo mejor de todo es que they’re reasonably priced.

Now if you want something more heavy for drinking purposes, the “O-Burger” is the best choice on the menu- it’s a must.  The meat on this burger is so tender that it just falls apart in your mouth on the first bite- simply fantastic!
