The Basics: If you’re looking for a place where you can totally chillax, with stile of course, after a long day of work, then this is it.  Now, before you head over to “Lola’s”, you must know a few things about this joint. This little lounge is located in none other than West Hollywood, so you get an idea of how horrible parking is going to be, not to mention things tend to be a tad pricier por esos rumbos.  However, in spite of its location, “Lola’s” is not the meat market you would expect it to be, and while there are several fabulous individuals and lots of queens, overall, “Lola’s” caters to everyone without alienating anyone.

The décor is pretty simple and minimalist yet chic, slick, and faboosh. Even though the crowd is mixed, the ambient is pretty chill and welcoming… something that rarely happens on WeHo.

Although “Lola’s” is a restaurant/lounge combo, the lounge part of this joint is the dominant one. And while things are on the pricy side, they have some awesome Happy Hour deals… which make it the best time of the day to visit this joint.

What to drink: “Lola’s” is famously known for its martinis. As a matter of fact, if that wasn’t its name, this joint could easily be renamed “House of Martini”. You seriously cannot go to “Lola’s” and not have a martini.  No matter which one you get, te lolasllevarás una grata sorpresa.

You can’t go wrong with their world famous Apple Martini- they’re seriously something.  Not only are they very strong, but the flavor is just right on spot.  If you wanna try something along the lines of the-same-but-different, then you can try the Caramel Apple Martini, which is a nice sweet addition to a classic cocktail.

Now if you want something tasty yet not fruity and very very VERY strong, you might wanna try the Starf*cker Martini, which can easily have the same effects of an Adios Motherf*cker.

If you want something sweet and not too strong, the Orange Julius will certainly tickle your pickle… it’s like drinking an orange crème juice.

What to eat: As it usually happens with restaurant/lounge combos, the restaurant part of the joint is the one that apparently gets the short end of the stick.  Honestly, as a restaurant you might wanna think twice about eating a whole meal at “Lola’s”… especially if you’re on a budget… and let’s keep it real, in this day and age, who isn’t on a budget?!

While “Lola’s” might not have a Happy Hour full dinner menu, they do have some really good deals on appetizers. As always, you can’t go wrong with the classics: fried calamari and sweet potato fries.

Their spinach artichoke dip is also a great choice- it’s tasty, creamy and very flavorful. Pero si tienes un poquito más de hambre o simplemente eres un glotón de primera, their chicken BBQ personal pizza is not that bad.
