The Basics: While the Valley has some pretty dull and fresa lounges and bars, no todos son igual por esos rumbos.  There’s one or two that have managed to pull through something memorable and chic. The folks from “Firefly” are a clear example of that. Although “Firefly” has been around for quite some time now, it has been until recently that this lounge has gained so much popularity.  It attracts crowds for various reasons: food, music, atmosphere and drinks. Unlike dive bars and hipster infested lounges, “Firefly” appeals to a wider and calmer clientele filled with late-twenty-somethings and early-thirty-somethings.

Even though there’s music playing and it’s a relatively posh lounge, “Firefly” appeals to a more tranquil crowd thanks to its setup since the entrance looks as if you were inside a library- books and all included.

Also, “Firefly” is the perfect place for a date since the ambience permits for romance to unveil since the music is not excessively loud and the dim lit, cozy ambiance are a great irresistible romantic touch.

There’s also a nice patio with cabana style sitting and even a fireplace.

What to drink: The wine selection at “Firefly” es de lo mejor, there’s loads of wine to choose from.  Now if you’re into mixed drinks, try the “Tom Collins”- although its usually made with gin, at this place they prepare it with Belvedere vodka.

What to eat: Unlike other lounge/ bar menus, the food served at “Firefly” can almost be considered fine dining, not just because of its taste but because of the price.  Entrees and appetizers are on the pricey side but they’re worth every penny.

The celery soup and mussels is a very great way to start your meal. It’s fresh and it has a good taste que te dejará con ganas de más, even more so since portions are rather small.

Si eres medio carnívoro, the steak tartar is the way to go- you’ll have juicy steak like you’ve never had steak before.

Ahora que si quieres guardar la línea or you’re just not that hungry, an apple salad easily doubles as an appetizer and as an entree.
