5th International Art Tour exhibit arrives to The Bungalow Art Center in Long Beach

From March 2nd through March 31st, the National Foundation of Independent Artists (NFIA) will exhibit their 5th International Art Tour series at the Bungalow Art Center in Long Beach California. An opening reception for the exhibit will be hosted from 6pm – 9pm on Saturday, March 2nd 2013.


The 5th International Art Tour series was chosen through an art selection process that was conducted in August 2012 by Casa Arte Gallery committee and NFIA Director Enrique Chiu. There were over 50 national and worldwide artists who submitted for this art tour, with only 26 artists being selected to show in the 5th International Art Tour.

Artists for the exhibit include: Enrique Chiu (Mex-USA), Marisol De Las Casas (Peru), Diego “Yeyo” Aguirre (USA-Mex), Roel “Perro Malo” (Mexico), Alejandro Nava (Venezuela), David Duke Mental (EL Salvador), Michelle S. Palafox (Mexico), Paloma Germain (Francia), Efren Luna (USA-Mex), Octavio “Ocho” Vargas (USA-Mex), Guadalupe Garcia (Mexico), Marlen Lopez (Mexico), Carolina Morales (Mexico), Crystal De La Torre (USA), Claudia Verduzco (Mexico), Mer Young (USA), Robert Pace Kidd (USA-Mex), Estela Gama (USA-Mex), Jorge Sicre (Cuba), Mariana Carmina (Mexico), Melinda Szabo (Hungria), Elizabeth Carrillo (Mexico), Martha Alvarez (Mexico), Lourdes Romero (Mexico), VS. Leonardo (Mexico), and Norma Vilar (Brazil).

The National Foundation of Independent Artists (NFIA) is a non-profit organization that provides a platform for artists. They organize art shows, create murals, public beautification projects, and donate works for charity auctions. They also maintain a network of resources for artists by artists, including a working gallery as a base of operation, an already established link to city and private art functions, such as participation in private “invite only” shows, open to the public events and city sponsored events. They exhibit throughout Southern California & Mexico: Los Angeles, Long Beach, Hollywood, San Pedro, San Diego, Santa Ana, Tijuana, Ensenada, Tecate, Mazatlán, Hermosillo, Guanajuato, Guadalajara, and México City.
