Coming right between the massive failure that Batman v. Superman is becoming and the already anticipated Captain America: Civil War, Disney is already trying to make waves regarding their next installment in the Star Wars series, and the first outside of the Skywalker saga by releasing the first teaser trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
While little is known about the movie, outside of the assumptions that the film will rely around a team of rebel forces looking to gain access to the plans for the Death Star that appeared in Episodes 4-6 in the Lucas Film series. It’s also been assumed that as a result, the movie will feel more like a heist film than many of the other Star Wars films, although that hasn’t entirely been depicted in the look that we’re getting at Gareth Edwards entry in the Star Wars universe.
Acting as a prequel to the initially released Star Wars episodes, this movie will take place between Episodes 3 and 4 in the Star Wars canon and may or may not be including Darth Vader who had since joined Emperor Palpatine in his black armored suit.
Rogue One is scheduled to be released on December 16, 2016.
