This coming Sunday May 24th, 2015, at Olvera Street in downtown Los Angeles, the Mexican Cultural Institute, El Pueblo Historical Monument and Haught Records as part of their “ Conciertos En la Plaza ” program, will be presenting a free Latin alternative concert with a great line up consisting of Rifle, Tijuana’s TreVolts and Proyecto Suicida.
Comprised of former members of “rock en español” pioneers, Maria Fatal and Los Curanderos, Rifle has become one of the favorite bands of the L.A. rock scene with their tight sound and blistering performances at clubs all over Los Angeles and its surrounding areas including shows in Mexico; and last year, the band had the opportunity to open several shows for La Ley during their North American tour.
Besides playing live on a regular basis, the members of Rifle have also been busy in the studio as they work on songs for their first album.
Hailing from Tijuana, BC, TreVolts has quickly become a favorite L.A. fans after their roaring performances opening for La Barranca and La Castañeda at Los Globos as well as previous performances at smaller clubs.
Proyecto Suicida is an indie rock band that is slowly but surely introducing their music into the consciousness of the music faithful with their live performances.
The free festivities will take place at the Kiosko at Placita Olvera from 2-5 p.m.
