Sonsoles are taking their Latin alternative sounds to the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach tonight for an intimate performance in support of the museum’s MEX/LA: Mexican Modernism(s) in Los Angeles 1930-1985 exhibit.
Sonsoles’ music mirrors the global ensemble of talented musicians that make up the band, which come from Spaniard, Mexican, Dominican Republic, and Salvadoran backgrounds. Just recently, the band visited the Al Borde studios in promotion of their recent release “Otra Vez”, a 5-track EP that, according to Jose Hernandez, the quartet’s lead singer, “is an autobiographical album inspired by life experiences that have affected each of the band members.”
“Otra Vez” is available via iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby. To get a sneak peek at one of the EP’s tracks, enjoy this video performance of “Mientras te vas” as performed at the Al Borde lounge.
