Ray Manzarek
The Doors’ keyboardist Ray Manzarek lost his battle against bile duct cancer on Monday at his home in Germany. Manzarek was best known for forming legendary psychedelic rock band The Doors in 1965.

The Doors was formed when Manzarek met singer and poet Jim Morrison in Venice Beach, California. Together with drummer John Densmore and guitarist Robby Kreiger they sold 100 million albums worldwide and had five multiplatinum discs in the U.S.

He leaves behind his wife Dorothy, his son Pablo, three grandchildren, his brothers Rick and James, and millions of mourning fans throughout the world.
