Last Friday night at The Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard, Mexican Dubwiser debuted his upcoming album, Revolution Radio.
Before a crowd of mostly press and industry influentials, Marcelo Tijerina a.k.a. Mexican Dubwiser, took the stage in his now customary red button-down dress shirt and black tie. A live band that included Kinky’s keyboardist and accordionist, Ulyses Lozano, producer of the album, accompanied the DJ during his performance.
In the few songs he performed, Mexican Dubwiser put on an energetic and electrifying performance in which the crowd enjoyed several tracks from the new album, including “Ahi Les Va”, “Musical Minds”, and “Revolution Radio” on which L.A. based Ghanaian international music star Rocky Dawuni appeared on keyboards.
To wrap up the night, Mexican Dubwiser performed “Trouble In My Soul” and “No One Cares” accompanied by the legendary blues singer Artwork Jamal and former Faith No More’s Billy Gould on bass.
