Nowadays thanks to MTV, reality television and easy-access caffeine, A.D.D. is more of an issue than ever before. Entertainment has certainly paid a high toll for this modern lifestyle… five minutes of channel surfing and you’ll come across a bunch of crap and then some more. Fortunately for those of us that like to keep our brain cells alive, art is still blooming and theatre, now more than ever, seems to be standing tall. A clear example is Alive Theatre’s “28 Plays Later”.
This 28-play extravaganza is conceived and directed by Jasper Polecki Oliver and it’s going to be taking place at the Koo’s Art Gallery in Long Beach- yet one more reason to check it out.
“28 Plays Later” is indeed a shit ton of fun in a wee bit of time. While there’s no central theme tying them together, there is one thing that makes this 28-act play flow seamlessly: humor- loads of it.
Come support local talent and laugh off the stress you accumulated during the week. Put the remote control down and head over to Koo’s Art Gallery.
