This Saturday at the Latino Entertainment Expo, fans will have the opportunity to meet some of their favorite Latino celebrities and public figures, including mixed martial arts fighter Diego “The Dream” Sanchez, models from the Model Latina South Beach reality television show, as well as radio, film and television personalities.
The Lorax and ParaNorman characters will also be available providing photo opportunities for young fans at the free, daylong Entertainment Expo, which takes place from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Pasadena Convention Center.
Organized by the National Hispanic Media Coalition, the Entertainment Expo is the second part of the two-day Latino MediaCon & Expo in which Latino media professionals from television, film, music and digital media gather to meet other industry professionals and interact with the public.

The first part of the event takes place on Friday, July 20 and is a daylong conference of panel session’s lead by Latino influentials in which Latino media trends, issues and opportunities are explored.
According to Inez Gonzalez, president of NHMC, the conference is the first organized in Los Angeles by the organization to present a Hispanic panel for a Latino audience. The conference will explore the influence of Latinos in entertainment consumption, social media, television and the presidential elections, along with other topics.
Moderators and guest speakers include Maria Elena Salinas, Univision network anchor, Monica Gil, Vice President of Government and Public Affairs for Nielsen, Susan Gonzales, Head of Community Engagement of Facebook, Ligiah Villalobos, Writer and producer of “Under the Same Moon”, Michael Garcia, Chief Creative Officer of Televisa USA, and numerous other key members of the Latino entertainment industry.
The 10th Annual Local Impact Awards, which recognizes community leaders, will also take place during the Conference.
Unlike the Entertainment Expo, which is free and open to the public, the Conference portion of the Latino MediaCon & Entertainment Expo is open to industry members and students for $125 (Student), $175 (Non profit/Partner) and $300 (Industry/Corporate).
