On November 2, 2016, Al Borde will present their annual Día de los Muertos event. The VIP B2B event anticipates the attendance of 100 to 150 Latino small business owners eager to network, generate customers, and introduce products and services. In addition to traditional Día de los Muertos food, drinks, and desserts, the event will host a range of activities celebrating the traditional Mexican holiday while showcasing brand-sponsored art and technology. Activities include a hackathon, digital graffiti wall contest, live music, and an interactive Google AdWords learning session.
We’re bringing together LA’s best and brightest entrepreneurs, coders and designers to create a game-changing concept for one of EC Hispanic Media’s brands. During a 4 hour hackathon, small teams will work together on prototype models using UX sketchpads. Teams will compete against each other to be crowned the ultimate hacker champions at the close of the DDLM event. Winning teams will collect prizes that include: $500 Cash, tech wearables and gift certificates. Coding skills aren’t required for the day, but a sound knowledge of current tech trends and an entrepreneurial spirit are essential if you want to win!
