A Silent Film are returning to the U.S. this summer and announcing a headlining tour run, alongside a string of dates supporting Silversun Pickups. Tickets for all shows go on sale this Friday, June 17. Following the critically acclaimed release of their eponymous new album, the band has been out on the road captivating fans across the globe. Recently A Silent Film released the official video for “Something To Believe In,” the latest single off the album, and today is premiering “Something To Believe In (RAC Mix)”, as re-imagined by Grammy-nominated producerAndré Allen Anjos. Just ahead of the summer tour the band is offering fans a free download of the five-song EP Retrospective at Amazon Music, featuring songs spanning the band’s last two albums A Silent Film and Sand & Snow. The highly anticipated follow up to Sand & Snow, the band’s new self-titled album A Silent Film was recorded in their hometown of Oxford, UK over a five-week period following their unique and sold-out Secret Rooms Tour. Produced by the band’s Robert Stevenson and Spencer Walker, with assistance from Matthew Wilcox (Foster the People, Bethel Music), the 11-track album was very much a homegrown recording. Written in Stevenson’s house the two invited friends from across the UK and US who had played with them on tour to help with the sessions and recruited engineer Sam Williams (Supergrass, The Go! Team, The Weeks) on mixing duties, who also produced and mixed A Silent Film’s debut album The City That Sleeps.

Since it’s release, press have lauded the new album and revamped live show as “anthemically gorgeous”, a powerful blend of the band’s “propulsive rhythms and earnest lyrics.”

Formed in Oxford, UK, by Stevenson (vocals/piano) and Walker (drums), A Silent Film’s expansive and poetic pop-rock sound has garnered comparisons to everyone from Coldplay to The Killers to U2. Collectively, they create an unyielding positivity in their lyrics and sound, a spirited and romantic musicality that belies an unashamedly upbeat pop attitude. The band self-produced their last LP Sand & Snow, inspired by an impulsive tryst with Americana, yielding the singles “Harbour Lights”, and “Danny, Dakota and the Wishing Well” to build on the success of 2010’s anthemic debut single “You Will Leave A Mark”. The band followed up Sand & Snow with the release of New Year EP and the sold-out Secret Rooms Tour – a series of unique and intimate ‘in-the-round’ performances across the US. Over the years, the band has toured with such acts as OneRepublic, Civil Twilight, Smashing Pumpkins and Temper Trap as well as festival performances including Glastonbury and Firefly.
