Signa Band at El Aguijon del Diablo

El Aguijon Del Diablo continues its concert series at the Torino Lounge in the city of Paramount featuring some of the best independent and alternatives bands in the local music scene and for the third edition this Thursday, November 20th, Signa, one of the best bands from Orange County will be sharing the stage with Wallburds and Dream Clinic.

Within a relatively short time, Signa has established itself as one of the premier bands in Latin Alternative music scene in Orange County, which has allowed the band to share stages with bands and artists like Jarabe de Palo, Elefante, Pastilla, Hello Seahorse!, Víctimas del Doctor Cerebro, Babasónicos, Ximena Sariñana, Caifanes, La Santa Cecilia, Fobia, Maldita Vecindad, La Ley and others.

El Aguijon Del Diablo, Signa flyerIn the last year or so, Signa has began to venture north to Los Angeles and the L.A. scene is beginning to take notice after experiencing energetic performances at the Unirock Festival, the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip, The King King in Hollywood and earlier this summer, the band was part of the tail gate party at Super Estrella’s El Reventon at Staples Center.

Last year, Signa released their second EP, titled Temporales, which was produced by Cesar “Vampiro” Lopez, former guitarist for Maná and Jaguares.

The Wallburds is a band led by Mexico City native Cesar Saez de Nanclares, who has put together a band that according to their bio is inspired by the roots of rock & roll and soul. The Wallburds have become a regular at venues like The Troubadour, The Roxy, Universal Studio’s City Walk, Silver Lake Lounge, Satellite, The Echo and many more.

The Wallburds music has been played on major radio stations in Los Angeles like 106.7 KROQ and 98.7 Rock fm. Their song “Heart as My Home” was in the soundtrack to the movie Conspiracy, starring Val and the song “Name of Song” was featured in an episode of the CBS/Fox series “The Mindy Project”.

Dream Clinic is an alternative rock band that is inspired by the likes of The Beatles, Jesus and the Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, The Raveonetts, The Radio Dept, The Horrors, Pixies, Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Nirvana and others.

As you can see, El Aguijon Del Diablo continues to push the envelope and tries to bring forth all these hidden jewels from the L.A. and O.C. music scenes and is allowing them an outlet to showcase their talents and at the same time exposing these bands to a new fan base that is ready to embrace new musical ideas.
