Siddhartha regresa a Los Angeles
By Angel Aguilar | November 19, 2014

After Siddhartha achieved great success with his first two records; Why You? in 2008 and Naufrago in 2011, El Vuelo Del Pez was one of the most anticipated albums of 2014.

Siddhartha did not disappoint with El Vuelo Del Pez as he put out an album that not only became an instant hit with music fans, but the critics have also named this album as one of the best albums of the year and such has been the buzz about this record that even the Latin Grammys took notice and nominated El Vuelo Del Pez for best Alternative Album and “El Aire” for Best Alternative Song.

Siddhartha is one of those artists that quietly has slipped into the musical consciousness of the masses and within a relatively short time has become one of the most acclaimed indie artists in Mexico and the U.S.

Prior to the release of El Vuelo Del Pez, Siddhartha played in Los Angeles last year and it was great to see Los Globos fill up with fans who were hungry for his music and for the chance to see him live for the first time.

During his first live appearance in L.A., upon taking the stage, a somewhat shy Siddhartha thanked the crowd as he was pleasantly surprised to see a full house and not only was he surprised that they came to see him, but that they knew his music and that they sang along with all the songs.

On Tuesday November 25th, Siddhartha will be coming back to the place that saw his Los Angeles debut, Los Globos in Silver Lake, and this time he will presenting the songs of his much acclaimed new album.

Accompanying Siddhartha will be local favorite, Wonderfox who had recently opened for Jarabe de Palo and whose singer, Isabel Valencia, also shared the stage with La Ley at the Greek Theater. Also on the bill will be Garitano, the new music project by renowned guitarist and producer Fran Iturbe, who has worked with such luminaries as Mikel Erentxun.

Tickets can be purchased on Ticketon.

Siddhartha’s El Vuelo Del Pez can be found on iTunes and Spotify.
