This Saturday December 6th at Antigua Bar & Grill in Montebello, bands from as far away as Coachella, San Diego, Bakersfield and Los Angeles will join forces for the first annual Rock and Toy Drive that will collect new toys and or funds to provide gifts to underprivileged kids in the city of Tijuana, BC.
In what promises to be a great night of music and unity, music fans will be treated a great line up of different musical styles that range from English and Spanish alternative, Ska, reggae and straight ahead rock & roll.
Hailing from the dessert in Coachella and Influenced by bands like Kasabian, Radiohead, Artic Monkeys, and The Strokes, Elektric Lucie bring together an urgent and energetic guitar attack accentuated by tight bass and drums that is sure to get you moving from the first chords.
From San Diego, Marujah is guaranteed to get everyone dancing with their mix of Reggae, Ska, Rock, Punk, and Cumbia.
Cnizah from Bakersfield has put together a concoction of sounds that go from melodic guitars, rock ballads to a rock sound reminiscent of 90’s rock.
Conflicto has become one of the most sought after hard rock bands in the L.A. music scene and after every powerful performance they continue to gain new fans with their hard driving guitar sound and melodic voices.
Before and in between bands, entertainment will be provided by Vj Olalde Rodrigo / Dvj-Maxx Rock playing Rock En Español / 80’s Flashbacks / Indie Rock & More.
There will be happy hour specials from 8 – 9:30, there will be free cd’s given to the first 100 people and more surprises can be expected throughout the evening.
Entrance to the show is free if you bring a new toy or a $10 donation. All toys and funds collected will go towards kids in the city of Tijuana who otherwise may not have any presents to open this Christmas season, so please come out and have a good time, while at the same time helping bring a little joy to those in need.
