After the release of the CD “Sonic Waves From Beyond” last month, Profesor Galactico and his band have been playing the songs live around Los Angeles, Riverside and even Scottsdale, Arizona.
Last Sunday night, June 3rd, Profesor Galactico made an appearance on the Sunset Strip at the House of Blues and although they were the band that opened the show, Profesor Galactico and the band which is comprised of member s of the L.A. Collective, it didn’t take long for the music lovers to get into the mood and were soon skanking to the beats of “Animal”, “Billete”, “Juego de Ajedrez” and other cuts from the album.
Although the album “Sonic Waves From Beyond”, does a good job in capturing the sound and essence of Profesor Galactico, watching this band live on stage it takes the music to a higher level and not only are all the members the band amazing musicians, the energy that comes off from the stage is contagious and those who are not up to skanking, can’t help themselves to move along to the music by either tapping their feet, bobbing their heads or dancing in place.
Profesor Galactico will be having his first “official” record release party on a party boat on Friday June 29th at Rock The Boat L.A. The show will take place on the first floor of the Grand Romance Riverboat which will take you on a ride of the Long Beach Harbor.
Coming along for the festivities will be The Paranoias, which is made up of members of Roncovaco, the L.A, collective and Profesor Galactico. The Paranoias has more of a party band vibe which really brings the funk and fun to the party with an infectious beat and energy that will get your body going from the very first notes.
You can’t miss the boat for this special night of great music under the stars on a beautiful boat that will not only offer Profesor Galactico and The Paranoias, it also has 3 fully stocked bars and two dance floors and some of the most beautiful night views of the Long Beach Harbor.
