BMI Summer Nights held at the Levitt Pavilion kicks off on Sunday, June 17 with Camilo Lara, a.k.a Mexican Institute of Sound (M.I.S.) promoting the August 14th release of his new album Politico.
Accompanying him on that date is Jorge Villarreal , a.k.a Mr. Vallenato, who is in the process of completing his debut LP album set for release in summer 2012.
The kick off date will be followed by shows on July 7, August 19 and closing night on September 8. Each concert will feature two BMI singer/songwriters within The Levitt Pavilion line-up.
The four concert series are free and open to the public. June 17 and August 19 editions of BMI Summer Nights will take place at The Levitt Pavilion located in Pasadena, while the July 7 and September 8 installments will take place at The Levitt Pavilion located at Macarthur Park in Los Angeles.
Enjambre with IL Abanicao, Diego Garcia with Davíd Garza, and Palenke Soultribe with Monseuir Periné will also be part of the showcase. Last year, BMI Summer Nights presented Crisantes with Christopher Von Uckermann, Carla Morrison with Ximena Sariñana, Zuzuka Poderosa with Ana Tijoux, and Master Blaster Sound System with Toy Selectah.
