After producing two albums, Treinta Dias and Someday New, and a non-stop tour for the last two years, La Santa Cecilia launches a new single destined for success. “I Won’t Cry For You” single promises to take you back in time with the sound of swing and the big band era.
Throughout their career, La Santa Cecilia has been known for being a band that has no boundaries. La Marisoul can sing her heart out on a “ranchera” or the band can get everyone dancing with a cumbia. They can also make the most hardcore rockers rock along with the band, and this time around, the band does it again with their incursion into the beloved sound of big band swing, the sound of the WWII and the pachucos.
“I Won’t Cry For You” starts off with a catchy swing drum beat that is accompanied masterfully by Pepe Carlos and his accordion, all while Alex Bendaña keeps the sound bouncy with his stand up bass as Miguel “Oso” Ramirez keeps the energy lively on the percussions and La Marisoul puts that special spice to those hard biting lyrics telling her man that he needs to shape up or she will find someone else.
Produced by multiple Grammy winner, Sebastian Krys, La Santa Cecilia hit the jack pot – once again – with a song that could take the band to even bigger audiences.
Al Borde has always been La Santa Cecilia’s #1 fan for their hard work and passion that have taken them to play on some of the most important venues in Los Angeles and New York. They’ve also left their footprint in some small Texan clubs or a theater in a small mining town in the mountains of Northern California (like the one they will be playing on September 19, in Grass Valley, CA).
