Award-winning Cuban-American singer/songwriter, Fulano De Tal aka Elsten Torres, presents his new song, “Trumpeta.”

The song is a direct and timely retort to the recent negative comments that many in the political forum have stated against Latin Americans and immigration reform. After being deeply affected by the continuous harmful statements and events that have been a focus of the 2015 Presidential election campaign, Fulano sat down with his Latin Grammy Award winning producer, Rodolfo Castillo and his manager John Badell to pen the song “Trumpeta.”

Torres said of the song, “I was in the middle of promoting my 2015 biggest hits album release, ‘Exitos Acusticos,’ and I literally had to stop my promo tour to write ‘Trumpeta’ because I couldn’t believe what was being said by Mr. Trump and other political leaders in the media about Latinos in America. Being an immigrant myself, I felt these derogatory statements were direct insults to my family. My mother sacrificed her life and fled Cuba with two little boys to come to America to find a better future for us. So as an artist and as an immigrant, I felt the need to defend my family and race.”

“Trumpeta” is now available in all major digital stores. Watch the animated video now on YouTube. 10% of all profits will go to help funding for immigration reform organizations.
