Duncan Dhu: El Duelo

Just as Mikel Erentxun told us a few weeks ago when he visited Los Angeles for his show at 333 Live, Duncan Dhu went back into the studio, having come up with a six song EP by the name of El Duelo, and from which the first video for “Cuando Llegue El Fin” has been released.

According to Spanish music magazine efe eme, “El Duelo” will be available at the end of August and, at least in Spain, it will be available on vinyl as well as CD. Along with the release of this EP, a new greatest hits compilation will be released the same day and it will be called Duncan Dhu I.

If this new single, “Cuando Llegue El Fin” is any indication of what we can expect from these new Duncan Dhu album, it couldn’t be any better as this song has that old acoustic and semi-rockabilly sound of Duncan Dhu’s first two albums, “Canciones” and “El Grito Del Tiempo” but at the same time it sound fresh and very much up to date.

During our previous interview with Mikel Erentxun, he mentioned that they would definitely be touring Mexico and the U.S., and although dates or locales have not been published yet, previously scheduled solo concerts by Mikel Erentxun have been cancelled in order for Mikel and Diego Vasallo to concentrate on rehearsals and logistics of the new Duncan Dhu tour.
