Ruido de Fondo Romantically infused with pop rock beats and currently promoting their self-titled EP is none other than Ruido de Fondo. The Latin alternative pop/rock group emerged in late 1999 with a melodic sound that set them apart from the Spanish urban rock that the era became witness to. Reigning champions in two battle of the bands competitions, Ruido de Fondo was catapulted from playing local shows to rocking the stage at major venues such as the House of Blues, Sin City’s Hard Rock Café and the Centro de Convenciones in Fresno. Their single “Orbito” alone was enough for noted rock en Español musicians such as Cafe Tacuba, Aleks Syntek, Kinky, Moenia, El Gran Silencio, Aterciopelados and Enanitos Verdes to invite them as their opening band.

Ruido de Fondo’s “Orbito”, “Junto a ti” and “Incomparable” have been showcased on important television networks such as KMEX-Univision, KVEA-Telemundo and LATV Live. Most recently, the music video for this last mentioned song was officially released on August 21st, 2009, marking an important date of the band’s musical trajectory as the release of their first music video. The video was directed by Michael Lozano (“No te Aguites” Los Hollywood) and represents the candid and youthful personalities that are a trademark of Ruido de Fondo.
