Avionica - Instinto Animal
By Angel Aguilar | March 26, 2015

After hundreds of written songs and after his greatest hits album, California, Jose Mrocheck better known artistically as Avionica, is premiering the first cut of Electricidad, his new musical project with the song “Instinto Animal” (Animal Instinct) which was produced by 3 time Grammy winner Andrés Saavedra.

Jose Mrocheck, a Bolivian singer songwriter was first attracted to music from an early age, but it wasn’t until he turned 15, when his brother gave him the sheet music for Pink Floyd’s The Wall, which changed his life and that’s when he decided to put together his first rock band.  Years later his artistic name Avionica appeared.

Avionica, comments about this first single: “For ‘Instinto Animal’ it was unusual for me because the chord progression and beat is the creation of Andrés Saavedra.  During the recording sessions he told me he had recorded something and wanted me to check it out and see if I could add a melody and choru;, obviously, I asked him to let me listen to it and within a few minutes I had a melody (which now is the chorus) and the melody of what is now the chorus of ‘Instinto Animal’.  It was a simple process because the foundation was very well done.  The lyrics are in part ideas that came out of the creation of the melody and the rest of the lyrics came when Andrés and I were recording the vocals.”

“’Instinto Animal’ is definitely the most pop song I have done in my career and I feel very proud every time I listen to it.  It has a very 80’s sound which I like.  My biggest musical influences came from that period.  I think it will be a song that people will like.” Added Avionica.

Many of the arrangements on the next EP Electricidad were done in the final production process by Pete Wallace (Alejandro Sanz, Pink, La Ley) on  keyboards, on bass  Paul Bushnell (Tim McGraw, Alanis Morissette, Kelly Clarkson) and on guitars Alejandro García (Ricky Martin , Franco De Vita , Danny Wood). Once everything was recorded, I did the vocals, then Andrés did the mixes and then we turned it over to Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Metallica, Cerati) who did the final Mastering.” Indicated the singer.

Avionica is preparing the Electricidad 2015 tour for April and May which will take him to Colombia, Bolivia, Mexico and the United States.
