This weekend is all about your adrenaline rush for speed. Only hours before the Auto Club 400 showdown, you’ll have the chance to experience “Shift 2: Unleashed”, the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2009 video game “Need for Speed: Shift”.
Hundreds of consumers are expected to come out for a test drive of “Shift 2: Unleashed” on Saturday, March 26 where D-Box driving simulators will be available for game aficionados to demo.
The event is from 1-6pm with Formula Drift 2010 Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr., Time Attack Record Holder Chris Rado and renowned car builders Twins Turbo in attendance. Former Miss Formula Drift Miki Taka will DJ the event, and of course, it wouldn’t be a Need for Speed event without the Team Need For Speed Girls spreading some love.

You’ll also get a chance to snag some cool prizes in D-Box time attack competitions and raffles, and can check out some of the decked out cars from other extreme sports and car aficionados.
“Shift 2: Unleashed” will be released on March 29 (US), March 31 (Europe), and April 1 (UK), and will feature 145 cars from 36 manufacturers and 35 different tracks. The game will include new features including in-helmet cam, nighttime racing and the Autolog feature, which allows players to go head-to-head and compare player stats for competition.
