Yes, Monday marks the beginning of the week, but it also marks the end of the weekend. It has even been proven in a study that most heart attacks occur on Monday… coincidence? I think not! Mondays are just dreadful… whether you work, go to school, or both. There’s nothing better to brighten up your Monday and help welcome Tuesday than chillaxing with the amigos and sipping on a Margarita.
Lounges in SoCal are becoming quite popular, especially those with outdoor patios- great for catching some fresh air and have a nice taco de ojo. While you can find lounges pretty much everywhere, they’re more common in the Downtown L.A./ Hollywood area. When a couple of friends called me up to hang out at “Fiesta Cantina” in West Hollywood I was quite skeptical. Driving to West Hollywood during rush hour is plain suicide… so we decided to meet at the place at around six-ish. Much to my surprise there, upon arriving to “Fiesta Cantina” we came across a rather hefty crowd- something rare on a Monday. We were intrigued but were told by one of the servers that it usually gets like that during “Happy Hour”. Ka-ching! We arrived just in time for the best hour ever--- “Happy Hour”. Unlike other joints where their “Happy Hour” lasts one hour, in “Fiesta Cantina” during the week it goes from 4pm-8pm. “Fiesta Cantina” is yet another place to catch up with friends and grab a nice drink… on a budget? Don’t even trip! If you make “Happy Hour”, all drinks are twofer (2x1)… no matter what you get- no if’s, and’s or but’s. What To Drink: Their Cadillac Margarita’s are just great, and if you feel like a daredevil, go for the Adios- but it’s probably not such a good idea during the week. |
