Una Maleta y Un PerroIf you’re a fan of Mark Ronson and his 40’s/ hip-hop/ pop mish mash and you have a fascination for Brits like Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, and Kate Nash, you definitely don’t want to miss out on “Una Maleta y Un Perro”.  Even though it’s her sophomore album, Nubla is creating lots of buzz by being categorized as the Spanish Lily Allen.  No, Nubla does not have pink hair or booze problems, but she is indeed talented and has something new to offer, Nubla describes her music as “magic tender hard hip pop”.  Now, that’s creative. Weird but new and creative.

With a tremendous amount of talent and charisma directly from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean (from “La Madre Patria” to be exact), Nubla is set to cross all boundaries to spread her music.

The intro of the album sets the surrealist/ witty/ playful tone borrowing from an excerpt from “Alice In Wonderland”.  Indeed, you will find a certain familiarity in the sound and at times in the voice, but now en español.

Yet another clear example that not all pop music is generic, “Una Maleta y Un Perro” is a must have album, it has no filler tracks and is simply refreshing.

Must [legally] download songs: “Día a Día”, “Bucle”, “Nada Se Olvida”, “Negra Oscuridad”.

*Check out the video for her first single "Día a Día", directed by Arantxa Roca
